Bras VS Bralettes
Since working from home and spending so much time at home has become the new norm – bralettes have really risen in popularity. If you haven’t tried the bralette trend out, you may be wondering why they are so popular. Can they really be that much more comfortable than a traditional bra?
The main difference between a bra and a bralette is the structure. With a bralette, there is less structure, there typically isn’t cups, padding, a hook at the back, and a lot of them don’t have underwire. People will often avoid bralettes as they don’t realize that they can offer more support than you would think. While bralettes do come in a much softer, less-structured material than traditional bras, they can still offer good support, even for a larger bust.
A traditional bra offers much more structure, molded cups, padding, a hook at the back, underwire. A traditional bra provides your bust with the perfect rounded shape you are looking for.
We like to think that there is a time and a place for both a traditional bra and a bralette. If you are looking for full support, shaping and doing a mid to higher impact activity, you may want to lean towards wearing a traditional bra that will offer shape and full support. A bralette however is a great alternative if you are looking for pure comfort while still maintaining support and not going totally bra-free – lounging at home, relaxing weekends, working from home – anything! A bralette is perfect for a natural look.
